PDF Local Church Ministers
When someone senses God’s call to become a minister, the church can affirm and encourage that call by granting a local church license. This license is granted by the local church after the person goes through an examination process by the senior pastor, cluster leader, and one other member of the church.
You can’t stay at this level. The Local Church license is the starting point for two tracks. You are expected to pursue one or the other:
- A national conference license and ultimately ordination.
- A Specialized Ministry license.
