Keynote Speaker: Roger Vezeau

The keynote speaker for the Associate Summit is Roger Vezeau (right).

For the past 34 years, Roger has served in youth ministry and leadership positions in the local church and with Youth for Christ. He began with Youth for Christ in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., 1988-1991, and spent the next four years as youth pastor of a Baptist church in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

He then moved to Huntington, Ind., to become youth pastor of College Park UB church, serving in that role 1995-2011. He left to once again work with Youth for Christ. He is now Chief Ministry Officer for Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana, the largest of YFC’s 160 chapters around the country.

Roger graduated from Huntington University in 1984, and went on to earn masters degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is married to Cindy, whom he met at HU. They have two adult children. Cara lives in Pasadena, Calif., and Mitch and his wife, REnee, serve as missionaries in Thailand. Roger is a lifelong Cubs fan, and loves to read, golf, and throw the frisbee.

A Note from our Keynote Speaker

The church owns the most important mission on earth: taking hope to a hopeless world. And it takes leaders–healthy leaders–to steward this mission well. All of us in ministry want to make the greatest impact we possibly can. We take seriously the calling God has put on our lives. So, we get busy. Life gets full and we lack Margin. Paying attention to the margin in our lives might be one of the single most important leadership decisions you make.

“If you yearn for relief from the pain and pressure of overload, take a lifelong dose of Margin. The benefits of good health, financial stability, fulfilling relationships and availability for God’s purposes will follow you all your days.” (Richard Swenson, author of “Margin: Restoring Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Overloaded Lives”)

We will explore what it looks like to restore Margin in areas of life that need it most. Join us for a week of refreshment, renewal, and restoring the Margin we need most in our lives.
