Campus Visit Days

Huntington University schedules various days for prospective students. There are general “Exploration Days” to acquaint people with the university and what it offers. There are days geared to persons interested in specific majors–teaching, nursing, agriculture, the arts, etc. And there is a day designed especially for United Brethren students.

Idea to Action Series

The Idea to Action Series enables United Brethren pastors, ministry staff, and laypersons to learn about and discuss practical ministry. The purpose is to:

  • Provide theologically informed ministry perspectives
  • Provide a consistent source of quality continuing education credits
  • Provide opportunities for Huntington University ministry students and alumni to interact with local and regional ministry practitioners

First event: October 28, 2019, with a focus on Special Needs Ministry.

UB Visit Weekend

November 8-9, 2019

Load your vans, buses, and cars and join us for a visit weekend especially for UB members on November 8–9, 2019. This is the perfect time to connect high school students in your church with Huntington University.

The weekend will include:

  • A free concert from Alanna Story on Friday night
  • A presentation from guest speaker Jeremy Penn (some of you may remember him as a speaker at the UB Youth Pastor Summit)
  • An overnight stay with current Foresters in our residence halls
  • Campus tours and meals in our dining commons
  • Information from our faculty about our academic programs
  • AND FREE T-SHIRTS!

Be a Teacher Day

November 8-9, 2019

Teachers are amazing. Future teachers are equally cool. During this visit weekend especially for these special people, you will get an in-depth look at the education programs at Huntington University.

Whether you are interested in teaching special education or working in an elementary school, middle school, or high school, on this visit you will:
• See our professors in action and interact with current education majors
• Check out our dedicated classroom spaces and educational tools
• Learn about our experience-based curriculum and 100% placement rate
• Stay overnight on Friday in one of our residence halls for a true Huntington University experience

Be a Nurse Day

November 8-9, 2019

Nursing is a hands-on profession, so your visits to a nursing program should also be interactive. During our Be a Nurse Day, you will have opportunities to see firsthand what it is like to be a Huntington University nursing student.

  • Work with our state-of-the-art simulators
  • Learn from our highly talented professors
  • Stay overnight on Friday in one of our residence halls for a true Huntington University experience

Ag Department Day

December 4, 2019

Have a passion for agriculture? Join us for a visit day to explore the possibilities of an agricultural studies degree from Huntington University. See for yourself what it is like to study, work, and conduct research in our state-of-the-art learning spaces, including the Ware Plant Science Production Facility.

You’ll also sit in on an agriculture class, meet with faculty and students, and learn everything you need to know about campus and the admissions process.

Health Science Day

February 2, 2020

Do you have a passion for helping other people? Join us on a visit day that will show you how you can turn that passion into a career in health sciences. Huntington University’s variety of degree programs in kinesiology, nursing, occupational therapy assistant, and pre-medical specializations in biology or chemistry will prepare you for immediate employment or further study.

See our lab spaces, interact with current students, sit in on a class with our faculty, and dream about the possibilities awaiting you!

Admitted Student Weekend

Something special happens when you visit campus after receiving your acceptance letter – you start to see even stronger glimpses of your future. You begin to look at the campus community in a whole new way because you are one step closer to being a full-fledged part of it.

There’s no better time to experience the campus community than during our Admitted Student Weekend. An exclusive event for accepted and deposited students, this weekend is dedicated to introducing you further to what it is like to live in our residence halls and spend time in fun activities with your potential classmates.

April 27, 2020:

Visited campus. Check. Applied for admission. Check. Made your deposit. Check.

Your next step is to register for classes! Come to campus to meet with your faculty advisor, choose your courses for the fall semester, and get details lined up for your transition to college life!
