The business meeting began at 7:30 am on Thursday morning with a breakfast for delegates and advisory members. The business session itself began around 8:45. Bishop Todd Fetters chaired the business session.
Delegates heard hear reports from the various denominational officials, and from other invited guests. All reports were posted on the Reports page in PDF format, so delegates could download them and print them out.
Various items of business were dealt with. Six proposals from the Task Force on Human Sexuality were passed, with just one minor amendment. Todd Fetters was elected by unanimous ballot as bishop for 2017-2021, and four persons were elected to the Executive Leadership Team for the same period.
