The United Brethren Story
The United Brethren Story is an interactive study of our story from the earliest beginning to the present day. It is held periodically throughout the year, entirely online. It is designed to allow participants to move at one’s own pace but also have opportunities to interact with others along the way. Each segment is intended to be completed in one week, but how you work these projects into your week would be up to you.
The next session begins February 10 and ends March 31, 2025. While there are no requirements to participate in weekly calls with the class, participants are asked to join in on one call on February 10, 6:00 to 7:00 pm EST, to kick off the course, and another on March 31, 6:00 to 7:00 pm EST, to wrap it up.
This course is a requirement for ministerial licensing in the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, and qualifies for 10 hours of continuing education. However, laypersons, especially local church leaders, are encouraged to participate. It’s valuable to have an understanding about who we are as United Brethren people.
