Keynote Spotlight: Sherilyn Emberton

Since 1897, Huntington University has been a key partner with the United Brethren denomination in making disciples. Hundreds of UB men and women have gone forth from HU to make an impact in our neighborhoods and among the nations.

Sherilyn Emberton, president of Huntington University since 2013, will speak on Friday night of the US National Conference. The delegates will spend the entire afternoon and evening on the campus, where numerous activities are planned. It’ll be a tremendous day. Sherilyn will speak that night, and the day will conclude with ice cream, smores, and fireworks.

In this video, Dr. Emberton talks about the mission of Huntington University, gives glimpses of the festivities planned for July 16, and previews what she will talk about that night in her keynote address. The school, she says, has always trained pastors and teachers. Now, they embrace the mission of raising up laypersons in various occupations who take seriously the work of the local church and will walk alongside pastors and churches in carrying out the church’s mission.
